Blephex Treatment
Blephex is in-practice deep eyelid exfoliation to remove bacterial debris and scurf from the eyelash margins
Treatment is recommended for anterior blepharitis and Demodex related blepharitis. Dr Dave generally also performs a Blephex treatment before IPL treatment. The treatment is effective in removing debris around the eyelashes which acts as an irritant to the eyes causing inflammation and dry eye. Prices for treatment available here.

Treatment Steps
- Photograph eyelids pretreatment
- Moisten lids to loosen debris
- Apply 1 drop of anaesthetic in each eye
- The clinician will perform treatment with a Blephex motorised probe
- Photograph eyelids post treatment
What Will You Feel?
Treatment will leave your eyes feeling fresh and clean. Treatment usually takes about 15 minutes and you’ll feel a slight tingling sensation during treatment. By removing the scurf around your eyelids, you’ll be in a better position to control blepharitis with regular use of eyelid wipes.
